Bombardier Commercial Aircraft congratulated Zoom Air, India’s newest airline, on the recent launch of CRJ200 regional jet service with aircraft acquired from a third party. The airline has joined Bombardier’s family of more than 100 CRJ Series aircraft owners and operators.

Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced it has signed a multi-year agreement with the University of Dubuque, establishing the university’s commitment to purchase new flight training aircraft solely from Textron Aviation through 2026 to modernize its fleet. As part of the new agreement, Textron Aviation will provide product support, parts and training for the university’s new Cessna Skyhawk 172 aircraft, which will be equipped with the next-generation Garmin G1000 NXi integrated flight deck.

21/02/2017LUFTHANSA TECHNIK AND MTU AERO ENGINES AGREE ON CONCLUDING A JOINT MAINTENANCE COMPANY

Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines are planning to set up a joint venture company for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of geared turbofan (GTF) engines, with each of the partners holding a 50-percent stake. An agreement to this effect was signed by the two companies in Berlin on February 20, after the feasibility of such a joint venture had been examined over the past few months. Subject to different approvals (e.g. by the relevant antitrust authorities) both parties act on the assumption of the joint venture foundation within the second half of 2017.

Daher announced the service entry of the initial TBM 930 based in Asia. It was delivered in December to Anutin Charnvirakul, who previously owned a TBM 850 version of Daher’s very fast turboprop aircraft family.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced that the Gulfstream G650 and G650ER have received type certificate validation from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The validation confirms the type certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration and is one of the last steps required for an aircraft to be registered in a particular country.
