Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.’s G500 flight-test program continues to make significant progress toward the aircraft’s anticipated 2017 certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The five G500 test aircraft, including a fully outfitted production aircraft, have surpassed 2,600 flying hours and accumulated more than 600 flights.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced that the Gulfstream G650 and G650ER have received type certificate validation from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The validation confirms the type certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration and is one of the last steps required for an aircraft to be registered in a particular country.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced that the Gulfstream G450 and G550 flew from Savannah to Geneva on a renewable fuel blend to join Gulfstream’s static display at the 2016 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE). In addition to the G450 and G550 flights to EBACE, all of Gulfstream’s Savannah-based demonstration aircraft and the G500 flight-test fleet have flown on the renewable fuel blend.
