JSSI® AND BLACKHAWK MODIFICATIONS, INC. TEAM FOR PT6A ENGINE UPGRADE PROGRAMS

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) and Blackhawk Modifications, Inc. (BMI) are announcing a strategic alliance that provides Blackhawk’s existing and future customers the opportunity to be part of the growing community of turboprop owners and operators enjoying the peace of mind that comes with JSSI’s hourly cost maintenance programs.  It also gives JSSI the opportunity to offer customers operating turboprops, new Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine upgrades from Blackhawk at prices competitive to overhauls. As an alternative for JSSI customers that are overhauling existing engines, Blackhawk’s Pratt & Whitney Canada engine upgrades offer the advantage of new-engine reliability, current generation build specifications with latest service bulletin status, as well as higher available horsepower, improved cruise speeds, and more efficient fuel consumption at higher available altitudes. This alliance between JSSI and Blackhawk is effective immediately and is applicable for JSSI and Blackhawk customers who operate King Air 90, King Air 200, Piper Cheyenne I, II, IIXL, Cessna Conquest I, Caravan 208 and Caravan 208B aircraft models.

“JSSI is excited to represent new Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine upgrades from Blackhawk to our extensive list of customers”, states Kevin Thomas, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning at JSSI. “JSSI constantly strives to offer our customers the best options, especially when facing the major decisions associated with engines nearing overhaul time limits. There comes a time in the maintenance history of a turboprop aircraft that upgrading to new engines can be a wiser choice than overhauling existing ones.  The expected benefits of improved performance and reliability available with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A new engine upgrades from Blackhawk, provide an attractive option for many of our PT6A hourly cost maintenance program customers.”

“JSSI has been a global leader in hourly cost maintenance programs for turboprop and jet operators for many years”, states Jim Allmon, Blackhawk’s President and CEO.  ”Because of their outstanding service, many of our PT6A new-engine customers are already existing JSSI customers or have expressed strong interest in becoming one. That’s why Blackhawk is so enthusiastic about this new JSSI/Blackhawk agreement. It gives both companies the opportunity to offer existing and potential turboprop customers a superb combination of Pratt & Whitney Canada new-engine upgrades from Blackhawk along with the long term assurance of being a JSSI customer.”
