JET AVIATION INSTALLS HONEYWELL’S OVATION SELECT SYSTEM IN A GLOBAL EXPRESS

Jet Aviation Geneva recently installed Honeywell’s Ovation Select Cabin Management System (CMS) on a Bombardier Global Express business jet. The installation received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval.

Jet Aviation Geneva has delivered a 14-year-old Bombardier Global Express after removing an obsolete cabin management system and replacing it with Honeywell’s robust Ovation Select system.

The scope of the project involved a complete re-design of the cabin system features, including audio/video, JetMap HD and WiFi systems, as well as the water, lights and air conditioning. With the new Ovation Select system installed, the cabin can now be managed throughout several touch-screen units that were integrated into the side-ledges, seats and galleys for convenient, user-friendly access by crew and passengers. The controls are also accessible through five handheld devices (iPads) placed in dedicated sockets designed for this particular aircraft.

“We are always looking to add value to our services and elected to install Ovation Select knowing that there is a lot of manufacturer support in the region,” said Cyril Martiniere, managing director and accountable manager at Jet Aviation Geneva. “Honeywell’s program managers, engineers and partners in Geneva were of great assistance to us in ensuring this seamless delivery.”
